WILLIAM GILLESPIE 
of Virginia

   William Gillespie applied for revolutionary pension September 26, 1832, when
he was 77 years of age. He entered the service in 1777 as art Indian spy in
Greenbriar County, Virginia. He died October 11, 1837. His widow Margaret Eddy
Gillespie, age 74 years, applied for pension June 8, 1841. She married William
Gillespie February 21, 1792.
