The submitter has given permissionto the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection Hill, Amos Pen. 188 1793-1794 Soldier-First State Regiment Widow: Ann Extract from the Act for placing Ann Hill and Thomas Harris on the list of pensioners passed the 28th November 1793: Be it enacted by the General Assembly that Ann Hill widow of Amos Hill, who died during the late war served as a soldeir in the First State Regiment and fell at the Seige of York shall be placed on the list of pensioners with an allowance of twelve pounds per annum. And be it further enacted that the auditor of public accounts shall and he hereby directed on application to him made to issue to the said Ann Hill, a warrant of twelve pounds for her immediate relief. Attestor: C. Hay CLB 1794--certified by James Wood, in the absence of the Governor, that Ann be placed on the list of pensioners. To the Auditor of Publick Accounts: Sir please to give your warrant to David _____ for forty dollars due me agreeably by law passed last session of the Assembly.
