AMBROSE LIPSCOMB 
Of Virginia

   Ambrose Lipscomb applied for revolutionary pension while living in Randolph
County, Virginia, in June, 1853. He was then 81 years of age and was therefore
born in 1752. He died May 18, 1841. He married December 23, 1785 Winny _____.
She survived her husband and applied for widow's pension in Randolph County in
May, 1846, when she was 75 years of age. She was therefore born in 1768. They
had the following children: Lucy, born 1768; Richard, born 1788; James born
1793; John, born 1795; Levi, born 1798; Henry, born 1799; Fielding, born 1802;
Evan, born 1805.
