Jacob Cupp died - Leaving 29-1/2 acres of land - & the following Children:

1.  Henry Cupp - Lives in Ohio.
2.  Jno. Cupp - Children & heirs in Tennessee.
3.  Elizabeth Hoover & Jacob - Monroe Co. WV.
4.  Washington & Ann McMahan - Monroe Co. WV.
5.  Isaac & Susan McMahan - Monroe Co. WV.
6.  Wm & Nancy Carter - Montgomery Co. Va.
7.  James Cupp - Montgomery Co. Va.
8.  David Cupp - Hampshire Co. Va.
9.  William Cupp - Since dead, Augusta Co. Va.
10. Samuel Cupp - Dead in Augusta Co. Va.
(Note: Children are listed in the same order as shown in the court records, not 
in birth order.)

Amt. of sale of land: 5$ per acre 29-1/2 acres - $147.50

(After all expenses were totaled & deducted, the remainder to be divided among 
the ten heirs.)					        $99.40
Each heir to receive:                            $9.40

Jacob Cupp's 2nd wife was Eve (Kilmer); m. 1810 at Botetourt County, Va., she 
was the mother of all of Jacob's children except Henry and David. His 1st wife 
was Elizabeth Linn, m. at Rockbridge County, Va. in 1802. Elizabeth died at 
Augusta County, Va. prior to the 1810 census leaving Jacob with two sons less 
than 10 years old.

This Chancery cause was initiated to finally divide the land of Jacob Cupp among 
his remaining children & heirs. Jacob died abt: 1853/54    (Author's Notes)
