Michael Price Land Grant, 1785 - Montgomery Co. VA Patrick Henry, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. To all to whom these Presents shall come greeting Know ye that by virtue and in consideration of Part of a Land Office Treasury Warrant Number Seven Thousand Three Hundred and twenty five issued the fifteenth day of October one Thousand seven Hundred and eighty one. There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Michael Price assignee of William Preston who was assignee of George May a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing Twenty five acres by survey bearing date the fifteenth day of June one Thousand seven Hundred and eighty two lying and being in the County of Montgomery on both sides of Stroubles Creek a Branch of New River and Bounded as followeth To wit Beginning at four white oaks and one white oak sapling on a Ridge South fortyfive degrees West one Hundred Twenty six poles crossing the Creek to three white oaks at the foot of a hill North seventy eight degrees East forty-eight Poles to two white oaks near the Top of a Ridge North fifty six degrees East one hundred Twenty poles to these pointers and one gum. And North Eighty two degrees West sixty four poles Crossing the Creek to the Beginning With its appurtenances To Have & To Hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land. With its appurtenances to the said Michael Price & his Heirs forever. In Witness whereof the said Patrick Henry, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his Hand and caused the lesser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the fifth day of July in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and Eighty five and of the Commonwealth the Eleventh P.
