She had been a member of the Baptist Church since early life, was a kind and loving friend to all whom she met. Never was there a day too dark for her to do a kind deed for those who needed her help. Her place was never vacant at church and Sunday School until she got so ill she could not go. For two years she lingered with not a murmer of being afraid to die, she was ready to go. How sad it is to lose such a friend as dear mother, but God doeth all things. well she is living now where she will have no more suffering and pain to bear, and each and every one of the loved ones she left behind will look forward to the same God, He will carry you through just as he does all things of his will. "Oh God" help us live the life dear mother did, so we can meet her over on yonder shore. Oh mother how we miss you We long for you each day. Home has never been the same, Since you were called away, We know that all is well with you We know you are at rest. God called you for some purpose And he doeth what is best. When the dear God fashioned mothers The heavenly gates flund wide Out poured their thousands of wonders Within her heart to abide. And earth was made for ever One with that heaven above, For the grace of God is shining In the glory of mother's love. -Written by one who loved her.
