Obituary of William E. Taylor, 1914 - Montgomery Co. VA "Killed at Ellett By Planing Machine Ellett, Va, Dec 19 - Special - W. E. Taylor, one of the most prominent men of this section, lumberman and stock dealer, was almost instantly killed at 1:30 this afternoon at a lumber mill here. A bit from a planing machine flew wild and struck Mr. Taylor in the abdomen, severing an artery. He died at the time medical aid arrived. Mr. Taylor is survived by a widow and fourteen-year-old son, several brothers and sisters and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Taylor, who live at Shawsvile. Three brothers, Frank, Nash, and Ed, Taylor, and a sister, Mrs. Blount, live in Roanoke, and a brother, Charles, lives at Elliston. Three of his brothers are engineers on the Norfolk & Western.
