VA Know all men by these presents that we Peter Kitts & Paul Passenger are held & firmly bound unto his Excellency the Governor for the time being & his successors in the just sum of fifty pounds Civil money of Virginia which payment well & truly to be made we bind ourselves jointly & severral, our joint and several heirs as witness our hands & seals this 23rd day of August 1786. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Peter Kitts hath his day obtained license for his marriage with Elizabeth Wyrick daughter to Nicholas Wyrick of this county. Now if there should be no just cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be void or else to remain in full force.
