While Isle of Wight (1634-37, Warrasquyoke {spelled variously}) and Nansemond (1636-37, part of New Norfolk) Cos. adjusted their boundary in 1769, I am not aware of Isle of Wight Co. ever having extended below the mouth of the main Nansemond River, so it seems this should have been described as being in Elizabeth City Co., or after that county was split sometime in 1636, New Norfolke Co.
