     merchant Peter KNIGHT, patent, 14 acres, 10 Apr 1638 

            To all to whome these p'sents shall come I S.r John HarVey K.t 
            Govern.r &c send &c whereas &c Now Know yee that I the 
 Peter      said S.r John HarVey K.t doe w.th the consent of the Councell 
  Knight    of State accordingly give and grannt Unto Peter Knight ___ 
   14       fowerteene acres of land being an Island in Nansamund river 
            w.th in the Upper Countie of New Norfolke on the South of the Said 
    Exmd:   river conteyning the aforesaid quantitie or thereabouts lying 
            oppoSite to the land of Oliver Sprye and next adjoyning to the land 
            of Robert Newman and Randolph Crew  The Said fowerteene 
            acres of Land being due Unto him the Said Peter Knight and 
            twenty Six acres not yett taken Upp for his owne p'sonall Adventure 
            into this Colony To have and to hold &.c dated the 10.th of Aprill
