     Phillipp BENNETT, patent, 515 acres, 20 Dec 1643 

               To all &c Whereas &c Now Know yee that I the said 
M.r Phillipp   S.r William Berkeley K.t doe w.th the Advice and 
    Bennett    Consent of the Councell of State accordingly give and 
     515       grannt Unto M.r Phillipp Bennett five hundred and 
               fifteene acres of land Scituate or being in the County 
               of Upper Norfolke and being on the East Side of a branch 
    Exmd:      of M.r Bennetts Creeke and begining at a marked oake 
               Standing on the Westward Side of a branch  which p'teth 
               the Land of M.r Richard Bennett and Epaphroditus  ~ 
               Lawson and Soe Crossing the Said branch East by North 
               Eighteene pole Unto a marked red oake and Soe East one 
               hundred Sixtie five pole adjoyning on the Land of  ~ 
               of Epaphroditus Lawson Crossing the head of the maine 
               branch  Unto a marked great white oake and Soe South 
               West by West Six hundred and tenn pole through the 
               maine Poquoson and Soe North three hundred and twentie 
               pole  Crossing the first menc'oned branch Unto the first 
               menc'oned marked tree The Said five hundred and 
               fifteene acres of land being due Unto the Said M.r 
               Phillipp Bennett by and for the transportac'on of Eleaven 
               p'sons into this Colony  whose names are in the records 
               menc'oned Under this pattent  thirty five acres  ~~ 
               remayning Still due Upon the Last p'son named To

               have and to hold five hundred and fifteene acres 
               of land w.th his due share of all Mines and Minneralls ~ 
               therein conteyned and w.th all rights &c To bee held &c ~~ 
               Yeilding and paying Unto o.r Said Soveraigne Lord the King 
               his heires and Successo.rs for every fiftie acres of Land 
               herein  by these p'sents given and grannted yearely at the 
               feast of S.t Michaell the Arch'ell the fee rent of one shilling 
               to his Maj.ties Use  which paym.t is to bee made Seaven yeares 
               after the date hereof and not before &c dated the xx.th of 
               December 1643
