     Phillip BENNETT, patent, 200 acres, 5 Nov 1648 

   To all &c Whereas &c Now Know yee that I the Said S.r W.m 
                Governo.r &c 
   Berkeley Kn.t ^ doe with the Advice and Consent of the - 
   Councell of State accordingly give and grant Unto m.r - 
   Phillip Bennett Gent. two hundred Acres of Land Scituate 
   or being in the County of Nansimond and on the head branches 
   [^"lying"- difficult to tell which was overwritten] 
   of a Creeke Called Robert Bennets Creeke and behind a ~ 
   pattent of Seaven hundred Acres of Land taken up by the 
   S.d Robert Bennett and begining at a Marked Post and 
   Soe runing South three hundred and twelve poles adjoyning 
   on the pattent of Seaven hundred Acres and Crossing the head 
   of the aforesaid Creek Unto a Marked Gumm and Soe East 
   one hundred poles unto aNother Marked Gum, Standing by the 
   Poquoson Side  and Soe North two hundred Seventy two poles Unto 
   A Marked poplar and Soe East twenty poles Unto a Marked post 
   and Soe North forty poles unto a Marked post and Soe west one 
   hundred and twenty poles these last lines  adjoyning on the 
   Land of Antho: Weeles unto the first Marked post, The Said two 
   hundred Acres of Land being due unto the Said m.r Phillipp Bennet 
   by Virtue of the rights of a former ["patent" struck] grant Made unto Robert 
   Bennet Dated the 18.th of February 1638 and by these m.r Phillipp 
   Bennet Administ'r[?] of the Said Robert Bennet resigned into the 
   office To have and to hold &c To beheld &c Yeilding &.c w.ch payment 
   is to be made Seven yeares after the Date of the 18.th of February ~ 
Ex 1638 and not before Dated the 5.th of November 1648
