Buford's Detachment Nansemond County 1786-1789 I do hereby certify that John Aiken of Nansemond County about ? years of age late a private in the detachment commanded by Col. Buford appears to have been disabled in such a manner while in the service of the United States as to entitle him to the sum of twelve pounds yearly; which allowance is accordingly made him, to commence on the 1st day of January 1786.
