[Specia1 to The Times-Dispatch.] SUFFOLK, VA., February 17.- After having accidentally swallowed enough poison to kill twenty men, Dr. Job G. Holland, of Holland, Va., still lives and his physicians believe the danger point is passed. Dr. Holland about 3 o'clock this morning went to his laboratory, intending to take a bromide to relieve insomnia. Instead of the bromide, he reached a bottle containing bichloride of mercury, or corrosive sublimate, and swallowed seven and one-half grains. One-twenty-fifth of one grain is an adult's dose. The physician realized his mistake almost instantly and notified his wife. Antidotes were applied and doctors from Holland were soon at his bedside. Dr. Franklin Pierce, who lives near by, reached him in a very short period. Dr. Holland is one of the wealthiest and most prominent physicians of the county.
