BOY BITTEN BY MAD DOG BROUGHT TO HOSPITAL HERE 
  [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] 

  SUFFOLK, VA., May 19.- Waverly Norfleet, the eight-year-old son of 
Jesse W. Holland, of Holland, Va., who was last evening bitten by a supposed 
mad dog, was to-day taken to Rlchmond for Pasteur treatment.  The dog's head 
was sent for examination.  There has recently been a mad dog epidemic at 
Holland.  A strange cur came to town and infected about a dozen others, most 
of which were killed immediately, but the one owned by Justice J.T. Rawles, 
which bit young Holland, was spared.

He survived this incident, dying 12 Dec 1988.  He is buried in Holland 
   Cemetery, as are his parents.  The cemetery list gives b. 29 Aug 1901, 
   so bit at age 6.
