They were identified by police as Wallace Earl West, 27, of Buckhorn; Floyd Talmadge Evans, 23, of Route 3, Suffolk and Dallas Graham Evans, 31, of Buckhorn. There were no eye witnesses to the accident which occured about 2:35 p.m., five miles South of Suffolk. State Trooper E.W. Anderson said that the car had been headed South at a high rate of speed, and apparently had failed to negotiate a left curve of the overpass. The car struck a concrete guard rail, skidded to the left, broke through a guard rail on the left and plunged 50 feet to the ground. All three men were hurled from the car, landing in a ditch about 10 feet away. They were dead when found a few minutes later. Police said the bodies were mangled and clothing was ripped off. The two Evanses were said to be cousins, and West was a brother-in-law of Dallas Evans. The bodies of Floyd Evans and West are being held at Baker Funeral Home, Suffolk, pending funeral arrangements. The body of Dallas Evans was sent to Rountree and Hofler Funeral Home, Gatesville, N.C., where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow from the Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church.
