ASHBURN Conducted By Rev. Carroll At Western Branch Baptist Church Funeral services for Henley E. Ashburn were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Western Branch Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. W.V. Carroll. The procession left the I.O. Hill funeral home at 1:30 for the church. The hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Tell Mother I'll be There," were sung by Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Carroll, accompanied by Miss Nellie May Brinkley. The casket was covered with a pall of lilies and pink rose buds. There were many handsome floral tributes. Active pallbearers were: John H. Powell, A.R. Baggett, J.S. Beale, J.W. Johnson, S.J. Ashburn, J.S. Williams, N.B. White, B.C. Eley. Friends of the family acted as honorary pallbearers. Burial was in the church cemetery.
