Suffolk Deaths 

  William Archie Austin, 64, died Saturday at his home in Charles street, of 
pneumonia.  He had made his home in Suffolk for the last six years and was an 
active member of Main Street Methodist Episcopal Church.  He is survived by a 
widow and ten children, Horace W. Austin, of Virginia Beach; M.B., A.T., 
Earle, Derwood, and Miss Odelle Austin; Mrs. H.S. Smith and Mrs. Stanley 
Gwaltney, of Suffolk; Mrs. J.H. Taylor, of Whaleyville and Mrs. F.A. Jones, 
of Greenville, N.C., and twelve grandchildren.  The funeral will be held at 
the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Rev. F.B. McSparren, D.D. 
Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  The active pallbearers will be the 
four sons and two sons-in-law of the deceased.  The honorary pallbearers will 
be W.F. Cross, A.W. Guthrie, H.H. Powell, J.A. Ellis, J.H. Boothe, W.A. Hart, 
Dr. J.L. Rawles, Felton Rawles, J.M. Pierce, Lloyd Parker, Tom Hayes, and 
Jesse Johnson.

D.Cert. 1889 (Suffolk #16) gives son of William AUSTIN.
