ANNIE ASHLEY 

  Miss Annie Ashley, 81, of 1525 Wilkins Drive died Saturday in the home of 
her sister [sic; niece*], Mrs. Mary Nelson.

  She was a daughter of the late Milton [sic*] and Mrs. Martha Umphlette 
Ashley.  She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and Ladies Star Sunday 
school class.  Besides her sister, she is survived by several nieces and 
nephews.

  Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday in I.O. Hill & Co. 
Funeral Home by the Rev. B.J. Willett and Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be 
in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery.

   also buried at Bethlehem.  Mary's husband is buried with his first wife 
   in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.
