Atkins, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at her home in Myrtle after a long illness. She was a native of Isle of Wight County but had lived in Myrtle for the past 65 years. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Matthews of Myrtle; a son, S.T. Atkins of Portsmouth; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The body was taken to tke Hill Funeral Home where it will remain until Sunday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock. At this time the funeral procession will leave for the Western Branch Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock with the Rev. B.A. Riddle and Dr. I.W. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
