She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Audell Ames Trant of Claremont, Va.; her son, Mr. Edward Wesley Ames of Deerfield, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Ames was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach; and the Old Dominion Chapter No. 100 Order of the Eastern Star. She was Past Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Virginia Order of the Easter Star. Remains rest at the Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. until Thursday morning. September 20, 1979. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 21, 1979, at 2 p.m. at the R.W. Baker Funeral Home, Suffolk, Va. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, Va.
