Death of Mrs. Jane Milson Jones - Mr. Frank Arthur Dead. Special to The Landmark. Suffolk, Va., February 25 - [...] Mr. Frank Marion Arthur died this morning at his home in the lower parish of this county, aged 59 years. Mr. Arthur was a popular, high-toned gentleman, whose friends were legion. During the late civil war he served the Confederate States as a lieutenant in Company I, Ninth Virginia Regiment, Armistead's Brigade, Pickett's Division. Coming out of the war he brought a wound which lasted all his life, but the honor bestowed upon him more than satisfied him for his sufferings, and the honor was well merited. He was taken prisoner at Gettysburg, but afterwards exchanged. Deceased was a Mason and a member of Tom Smith Camp, Confederate Veterans, which organization will furnish the pallbearers at the funeral, which will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning at Berea Christian Church. Deceased had served his county as a magistrate for a long time with honor. His father [sic; son], Dr. Hardy Arthur, of Franklin, and his wife, who was Miss Mary S. Wilkins [sic; I.
