S. Arthur To Be Conducted Sunday W.S. Arthur, son of the late P.H. and Margaret L. Arthur, died early this morning at the home of his nephew, John Goodman Arthur, in Somerton, N.C. [sic; Va.], after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was 60 years of age. The body was taken to I.O. Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the Somerton Methodist church at 3 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. J.F. Johnston. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. R.W. Hayes, of Gates county, N.C.; a brother, Tom B. [sic; V.] Arthur, of Somerton, and seven nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** MORTUARY WILL S. ARTHUR Funeral services for Will S. Arthur were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Somerton Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. J.S. Johnston. Members of the church choir, accompanied by Mrs. W.L. Vann, sang the hymns "How Firm A Foundation" and "Rock of Ages." The casket was covered with a pall of Ascension lilies and roses. Active pallbearers were G.T. Ellis, W.J. Parker, W.L. Vann, B.T. Parker, R.R. Langston, Everette Pittman, Ray Freeman, J. Huett Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was in the Holy Neck Church cemetery, near Holland, Va.
