Jacob D. Boyce Succumbs at 67 

  Jacob David Boyce, 67, a resident of Route 4, Suffolk, died this morning at 
9 a.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lillian Brannan, of 149 Charles 
Street. 

  The deceased was the son of the late John and Mary Outlaw [sic; Outland] 
Boyce, of Chowan County, N.C. 

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. J.D. Boyce, of Route 4, Suffolk; two other 
daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Beretski, of Suffolk and Mrs. Luther Writtentberry 
sic; Writtenberry], of Nansemond; a son, J.D. Boyce, Jr., of Route 4, Suffolk; 
five grandchildren; two brothers, Noah Boyce, of Route 4, Suffolk, and 
Thornton Boyce, of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Chessley Powell, of Route 3, 
Suffolk; Mrs. J.T. Norfleet, of Route 2, Suffolk, and Mrs. J.D. Bennett of 
Suffolk. 

  Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the R.W. Baker and 
Company Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at the Cypress Chapel Christian 
Church Cemetery.
