Mrs. Mary M. Boyce Claimed By Death; Burial Rites Today 

  Mrs. Mary M. Boyce, wife of the late J.J. Boyce, died last night at 7:45 
o'clock in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Byrum, on the Hosier Road 
near Suffolk after a short illness, aged 82 years. 

  She is survived by four children, one daughter, Mrs. Annie Byrum, Nansemond 
county; three sons, Fayte Boyce, of Isle of Wight county, Milton Boyce and Lee 
Boyce, both of Suffolk, and 22 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 
several neices and nephews. 

  Funeral services were held this afternoon at the residence at 3:30 o'clock, 
conducted by the Rev. H.S. Hardcastle and Dr. N.G. Newman.  Interment will be 
made in the Cypress Chapel church cemetery.
