ALLIE OLIVER BAKER 

MRS. ALLIE OLIVER BAKER, 81, WAS FUNERAL DIRECTOR 

  Allie Oliver Baker, 81, of the 200 block of W. Constance Road, a retired 
funeral director and officer of R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, died April 19, 
1990.

  Mrs. Baker, a native of Nansemond County, was the widow of Robert N. Baker 
Jr.  She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and the 
Constantia Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.

  Survivors include three daughters, Allie B. Suelflow of Menasha, Wis., 
Roberta B. Powell of Suffolk and Lynne B. Baines of Tappahannock; a son, 
Robert N. Baker III of Suffolk; three sisters, Belle O. Correll of Belaire 
Beach, Fla., Gladys O. Wenner of Staunton and Ruth O. Smith of Roanoke; eight 
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

  The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Main Street United 
Methodist Church by the Rev. James R. Noland.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery.  Friends may join the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in R.W. Baker 
& Co. Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be made to the church or to the 
Lynell Oliver Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 3422, Suffolk, Va. 
23434.
