Baker and the daughter of the late Carr G. Skinner and Mrs. Virginia Skinner, died yesterday afternoon at 12:25 o’clock in a Norfolk hospital. Mrs. Baker was a native of Nansemond County, but had resided in this section for the past 12 years, making her home in Churchland. She is survived by two sons, R.L. Baker, of Danville, and O.J. Baker, of Churchland; a sister, Mrs. J.A. Bowden, of this city and three brothers, A.C. Skinner and L.A. Skinner, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and L.E. Skinner, of Elizabeth City, N.C. Mrs. Baker held membership in Elm Avenue Methodist Church. The body was removed to the Snellings Funeral Home where it will remain until 1 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. It will be taken to the Elm Avenue home at that time to lie in state until time for services, which will be held at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place in the family burial plot in Nansemond County.
