Boyett died at 9 o'clock this morning at his home, No. 4 Poplar avenue, aged 55 years.  He had been ill ten days with pneumonia. The funeral will take place at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Suffolk Christian Church, of which the deceased was a member. The following will be pall-bearers: S.S. Walton, C.W. Shackelford, Q.R. Bailey, W.T. Raby, Abner Stallings. The deceased is survived by a widow, who was Clara Babb 25 years ago; five daughters and three sons. ****************************************************************************** ROBERT BENJAMIN BOYETT On Saturday, April 14, 1900, at 8:50 o’clock A.M., Mr. Robert B. Boyett, who had been sick for ten days with pneumonia, died at his home, on Poplar Avenue. The deceased was fifty six years of age, and had been a consistent member of the Christian church since a very young man. About five years ago he removed to Suffolk with his family, and joined the church here. On several occasions before his death he expressed his readiness and willingness to go, and prayed the Lord to take him away. Mr. Boyett was an industrious, conscientious man, faithful and just in all his dealings, and his death is regretted by all who knew him. He leaves a wife, eight children and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Mr. Boyett’s funeral took place at the Christian church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. W.W. Staley, D.D., officiating, and the interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: S.S. Walton, C.W. Shackelford, Q.R. Bailey, W.T. Raby, Abner Stallings.
