Butler, died today at a local hospital in the twenty- eighth year of her age. Mrs. Butler had rallied and until yesterday hopes were entertained of her recovery. Mrs. Butler is survived by her husband and one little daughter, Mary Holmes Butler; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Hanby of Cheriton, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Rippon, Mrs. Andrew Melson and Miss Mary Hanby; three brothers, Obie Hanby, William and Floyd Hanby, all of Eastern Shore. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Butler; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Philp Moser and Mrs. Pelham trotman, and numbers of friends in Suffolk and on the Eastern Shore. Mrs. Butler was a young woman of rare sweetness of character, and was a faithful and active member of the Suffolk Baptist Church. The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Butler, in Kingsboro Heights, conducted by Rev. G.T. Lumpkin. The interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The active pallbearers will be Geo. B. Artman, M.T. Church, D.B. Price, Philip Eve, Clarence Booker, Floyd Oliver, Burwell Riddick, Jr., Allie Cobb.
