TONY HARRISON BUTLER

SUFFOLK - The body of Tony Butler, about 75 [sic; 71*], was found in his cottage 
near Buckhorn Thursday about 5 p.m. by a neighbor.

He was last seen alive Friday at a Buckhorn store, where he complained of not 
feeling well. Remembering this, the neighbor went to his home, found him dead, 
and called the police.

A painter by trade, he was noted throughout the county as a fiddler and square 
dancer.

The body was taken to Baker Funeral Home.

*Dates from D.Cert. 29916 (Holland #7), which incorrectly gives his mother as 
   Mattie Butler.  Bettie W. SAUNDERS m. John Bracken BUTLER, 5 Jan 1880, in 
   Isle of Wight Co.  Bracken 2m. Eula JOHNSON. 

**Unmarked?  Neither Tony nor his bro Robert Bracken appear on the 
   Isle of Wight County Historical Society {IWCHS}
