MARSHALL L. BOWDEN

   Suffolk, Va., May 6 - (AP) - Marshall L. Bowden, Suffolk attorney and 
operator of a florist shop here, died in a Suffolk hospital Wednesday after 
a brief illness.  A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at 
West End Baptist Church here.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn [sic; Cedar Hill*] 
Cemetery.  Bowden had practiced law here since 1923 and served as city 
registrar and assistant trial justice in Nansemond County.

Isle of Wight Co. native, d. 6 May 1953, Suffolk, age 65, 
interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery*, Suffolk, 8 May 1953,
