Beale, 70, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 126 Clay Street, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Edwin W. and Eliza Fauckette [sic; Faucett] Beale. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ina Rogers [sic; Rodgers] Beale; a daughter, Mrs. Maurice G. Herndon, of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Maurice G. Herndon, Jr. and Edwin Beale Herndon, of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. J.E. West, Suffolk; a niece, Mrs. Henry B. Frazier, and two nephews, Alton T. West, of Martinsville, and Rosser B. West, of Newport News. He was an active member of the Suffolk Christian Church. The body was taken to the Baker Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of Mrs. Herndon. ****************************************************************************** BEALE SERVICES Funeral services for Edwin Beale, who died yesterday morning at his home on Clay Street, will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Christian Church. Dr. John G. Truitt, pastor, will officiate, and burial is to be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The body will remain at the Baker Funeral Home until funeral time.
