THOMAS P. BEALE SR. 

  WINDSOR -- Thomas Preston Beale Sr., 59, died Tuesday in a Richmond 
hospital. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Mrs. Winnie Joyner Beale 
of Windsor and the late Allen P. Beale and the husband of Mrs. Violet Grant 
Beale. 

  He was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church and Woodmen of 
the World. 

  Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald P. 
Schalla of Richmond; a son, Thomas P. Beale Jr. of Windsor; a sister, Mrs. 
B.H. Bowden of Newport News; two brothers, W. Newman Beale of Suffolk and 
James M. Beale of Windsor; and two granddaughters. 

  A funeral service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in I.O. Hill Co. Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Arthur G. Knauer.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
