Bland SUFFOLK - Mrs. Lucy Edwards Bland, 77, of 108½ St. James Ave., died Sunday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. Born in Franklin, she retired from the Buck Hurley Tile Co. She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ocie Howell Bland; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Talley of Richmond. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Harold Fuss. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home. ****************************************************************************** Lucy Bland Mrs. Lucy Edwards Bland, 77, of 108 1/2 St. James Avenue, died Sunday night at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Franklin, she was the daughter of the late John Edwards and Mrs. Margaret Beale Edwards and the wife of Ocie Howell Bland. Mrs. Bland was also retired from Buck Hurley Tile Co. and a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Talley of Richmond, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Fuss. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
