BLAND WINDSOR - A funeral service for Mrs. Virgie C. Bland was conducted Saturday at 4 p.m. in I.O. Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. W.A Grissom of Windsor Christian Church. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Pallbearers were Eldon Fulgham, Harry Carr, W.T. Joyner, Shirley T. Holland, E.J. Brock, W.T. Johnson, E.R Lane and Shelton Vaughan. Mrs. Bland, 60, died at 5:25 a.m. Friday in her home on West Windsor Boulevard. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of Windsor Christian Church’s Ladies Bible Class and Woman’s Missionary Circle. She was the wife of C. Allen Bland and daughter of William Alfred and Mrs. Flora Carr Cobb. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clifton Holland of Nansemond County, five sons, Allen T. Bland of Southampton County, C.W. Bland, Robert Allen Bland, and Donald Ray Bland of Windsor, and James Everett Bland of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. H.A. Nichols of Norfolk; two brothers, W.T. Cobb and Jesse Lee Cobb of Norfolk; four half brothers, A.R. Cobb and John Cobb of Zuni, Warren of Ivor, and Russell Cobb of Suffolk; and nine grandchildren. Virgie Mae (COBB; Mrs. C.
