BOWEN'S FUNERAL TODAY. Suffolk Bureau. Suffolk, Va., June 9. - The body of the late Mrs. Martha Jane Bowen will arrive in Suffolk at 5:03 o'clock Sunday afternoon via the Norfolk & Western railroad. The burial will occur soon afterward, and Dr. H.E. Johnson will conduct the graveside services. Mrs. Bowen was in the 65th year of her age. Her husband died less than a year ago. He was Captain Joseph Bowen. Mrs. Bowen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Tatum, and the following sons, Horace J., Alfred D., Joseph E., Charles James and Frederick. The following will serve as pall-bearers: H.B. Phillips, W.M. Crumpler, S.M. Lawrence, H.W. Campbell, E.L. Folk, E.K. Channell, W.L. McLeod and Lee Britt. Suffolk, Va., June 11. - The remains of the late Mrs Martha Jane Bowen arrived in Suffolk Sunday afternoon for interment in Cedar Hill cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. H.E. Johnson of the Main Street Methodist church. The following were pallbearers: Lee Britt, S.M. Lawrence, H.B. Phillips, E.K. Channell, H.W. Campbell, W.M. Crumpler, E.L. Folk and W.L. McLeod.
