MARIE PIERCE BRYANT BAINES

Mrs. Marie P. Baines

SUFFOLK -- Mrs. Marie Pierce Baines, 81, former resident of Suffolk, 
died Wednesday at her daughter's residence, Mrs. Lois Anita Thompson, 
12309 Dalewood Drive, Wheaton, MD.  Born in Nansemond County, she was 
a member of Cradock United Methodist Church.  Other survivors include 
another daughter, Mrs. Katherine Virginia Ayers of Alexandria; 13 
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  A funeral will be conducted 
at 2 p.m. Friday in R.W. Baker & Co.  Funeral Home by the Rev. Talmadge B. 
Pierce.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive 
friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

Her first husband, James Staley PIERCE (1893 - 1933), is also buried there.

Her last husband (1896 - 1977) is buried with his first wife in
