BUNKLEY ECLIPSE - Mrs. Lucie Lester Bunkley, 85, a resident of this community, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at Obici Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of John Franklin [sic*] and Mrs. Ann Atkinson Lester of New Kent County and was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church at Crittenden. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bunkley Causey of Eclipse, and one grandson, Peter Bunkley Causey. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday at the Ebenezer Methodist Church by the Rev. W. Boyd Bryant. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Christian Church cemetery at Eclipse. The body will be taken from the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home to the church one hour prior to the funeral. ****************************************************************************** LUCIE LESTER BUNKLEY Eclipse - Mrs. Lucie Lester Bunkley, 85, died in a hospital at 8 p.m. Saturday. A native of New Kent County, she was a daughter of John Franklin and Mrs. Ann Atkinson Lester and the widow of Samuel Q. Bunkley. She was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bunkley Causey of Eclipse, and a grandson, Peter B. Causey. The funeral service will be held Monday at 5 p.m. in Ebenezer Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery, Crittenden. The body will be taken from Baker Funeral Home, Suffolk, to the church one hour before the funeral. D.Cert. 65-020869 gives her father as John F. Rather, her father was John B. LESTER (1847-1923), son of "Ben" Benjamin Franklin & Lucy R. LESTER. He was appointed Postmaster of Barhamsville, New Kent Co. He is buried in Oak Mound Cemetery, Healdsburg, Sonoma Co., CA. Her mother, "Fanny" Frances Ann (ATKINSON) LESTER died in June 1885 in Albemarle Co. Her widower remarried within the year.
