He is the son of Floyd R. Benton and Grace V. Benton of Suffolk. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Floyd R. Benton, Jr., a sister, Betty V. Benton, a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Julia A. Benton of Ahoskie, N.C., maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Vincent of Richmond, Va., and several aunts and uncles. The body was taken to Baker Funeral Home where it will re-main till 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. At that time it will be removed to the family residence at 808 Bosley Ave. Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. by Rev. F.L. Baker. Burial will take place in Cedar Hill cemetery.
