William Benton Dies Early Today 

  William Wellons Benton, 84 years of age, died early today at the home of 
his nephew, Bennie T. Benton, on the North Carolina Highway, following a long 
illness. 

  Surviving relatives include one brother, Jesse Benton, of Corapeake, N.C.; 
several nieces and nephews. 

  The body was removed to the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home, where 
funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the 
Rev. R.E. Brittle.  Interment will be in the Bethlehem Christian Church 
Cemetery.

We show a William BENTON, d. 1946, in Lot 8, where his nephew Bennie is 
   buried.

   Samuel's sons Calvin & Cyrus are buried in Lot 9.
