She was the relict of the late Dr. John R. Beamon, of this county, and daughter of Mrs. Sarah Norfleet, of Suffolk. Mrs. Beamon was married in 1873 to Dr. Beamon, who died about eighteen years ago. By that union four children were born - Clifford, who died last winter in Las Vegas, New Mexico; John R., who died several years ago; William S. and Miss Katie, the latter two, the only surviving children, being grown. Besides these she leaves her mother, two sisters (Mrs. Kate Brothers and Mrs. Walter W. Ballard) and two brothers (Messrs. John B. and Robert J. Norfleet). Mrs. Beamon was a consistent and active member of the Christian Church, a member of the choir and the church societies, and was given to every good work in the church. She was a devoted and loving mother and sister, a true friend, and possessed an amiable character and lovely disposition. Hers was a lovely Christian life, and her place in the home and the church will be one of sweet memory. Her funeral will occur at the Christian Church this (Friday) afternoon, at 3 o’clock, and the remains will be laid away beside her husband and two boys in Cedar Hill Cemetery, to await the resurrection of the just.
