Bruce Funeral services for Harry Edward Bruce, who died Saturday morning in a Richmond hospital, were held yesterday at 4 p.m. at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Duane N. Vore. Mr. Vore read "Father To Thee" and "Resurgence." Eddie Kinsey, accompanied by Julian Goodwin, sang "The Lord's Prayer." The pall was of orchids, red roses, Easter lilies and white asters. Pall bearers were Henry Brothers, Reginald Brothers, Bob Bruce Brothers, Bruce Elliott, E.E. Jones, William Jones, P.G. Cox, and Dr. L.H. Rawls, Jr. Members of the Baraca Class of the Suffolk Christian Church and friends of the family served as honorary pall bearers. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Harry Edward BRUCE, retired realtor, b. 11 Aug 1880, Nansemond Co., d. 25 Aug 1951, Richmond, interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block G, Lot 71*), Suffolk, 27 Aug 1951, "Suffolk (VA) News-Herald," Vol. 29, No. 204, Tues., Aug. 28, 1951, p. 3 *His parents, Benjamin Miller & Fannie Theodotha (BROTHERS) BRUCE, are buried in Block G, Lot 17.
