BRASWELL WINDSOR -- John Letcher Braswell, 64, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in his home, RFD 2, Windsor. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Mrs. Blanche Holland Braswell and a son of the late Stephen Joseph and Ballie Butler Braswell. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. William O'Berry of Isle of Wight County and Mrs. Joe Holland of Nansemond County; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Dickerson of Suffolk, Mrs. W.E. Williams of Franklin and Mrs. Henry James Whitley of Windsor; one brother, Jack Braswell of Windsor; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in I.O. Hill & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. William Swain, pastor of Pine Grove Assembly of God Church, Isle of Wight County. Gwaltney, Sam Jones Jr., Frank Brown, J.R. Wills Jr. and J.W. Underwood.
