Braswell, 51, of Windsor WINDSOR - Funeral services for Doctor Staley Braswell were conducted today at 4:30 p.m. in the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Hugh Lassiter, pastor of Antioch Christian Church. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Pallbearers were Leroy Bracey, Francis Holland, Edwin Stephenson, Charles Harmon, Frank Brown, Harvey Griffin, Otis Holland and Clyde Vaughan. Mr. Braswell, 51, of Windsor, died Monday in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and was a sheet metal worker at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company and was a member of Antioch Christian Church. He was a son of Mrs. Alice Bracey Braswell of Windsor and the late William Henry Braswell. He is survived by his mother [sic*]; his widow, Mrs. Bunie Turner Braswell; three daughters, Mrs. John R. Spivey and Mrs. Robert Otis Holland of Windsor and Mrs. Edwin J. Joyner of Franklin; a foster son, Thomas Wayne Turner of the home; a sister, Mrs. R.L. Turner of Portsmouth; and two brothers, M.S. Braswell of Windsor and John Braswell of Chesapeake; and six grandchildren.
