MRS. ELSIE R. BYRD 

  Mrs. Elsie Reva Byrd, 76, died early Saturday in Louise Obici Memorial 
Hospital. 

  She was the widow of Hersey O. Byrd and a daughter of the late John F. and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Atkins Uzzell. 

  A member of Bethlehem United Christian Church, she belonged to the Brittle 
Circle and the Ladies Star Class there. 

  Surviving her are one son, Fred H. Byrd Sr. of Nansemond County; two 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the R.W. Baker and Co. 
Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in 
Bethlehem Cemetery.
