Byrd's Funeral Tomorrow Funeral services for John Hamilton Byrd, 87, who died yesterday at the National Homapathetic [sic; Homeopathetic] Hospital in Washington, D.C., will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Baker Funeral Home. Dr. John G. Truitt, pastor of the Suffolk Christian Church will officiate. Mr. Byrd was a former resident of Suffolk. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.P. Shearer of Washington, D.C., and a son, Ralph H. Byrd, of Evanston, Illinois; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body will arrive in Suffolk today and will be taken to the Baker Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** John H. Byrd Buried Friday Final rites were conducted Friday afternoon for John Hamilton Byrd, who died in a Washington, D.C. Hospital on Wednesday, by Dr. John G. Truitt, pastor of the Suffolk Christian Church, at the Baker Funeral Home at 2:30 P.M. The pall was made of red roses, and active pallbearers were Franklin Bradshaw, T. Roland Felton, Marshall Andrews, West Butler, Frank Butler, Jessie Harrell, P.M. Burton, and Thomas Andrews. Burial took place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
