Joseph Brett Jr. Joseph Cavosso [sic; Carvosso] Brett Jr., 70, of 111 Lakewood Dr., died Oct. 1, 1993, in his residence. A native of Como, N.C., he was the son of the late Joseph Cavosso Brett Sr. and Clara Hunt Brett. He had retired as a driver in 1982 after 35 years of services for the Suffolk Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Brett was a Methodist and a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ann Sawyer Brett; four daughters, Selina Sawyer Scoggins of Fayetteville, N.C., Jo Clair Butler and Sue Blount Sawyer, both of Richmond, and Kay Brett Hord of Portsmouth; a son, George L. Sawyer of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Catherine B. Howell of Como, N.C., and Dorothy B. Burrows of Franklin; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Linwood G. Cook in Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the residence. Donations may be made to the "We Care Ministry" or the "United Methodist Women," c/o Magnolia United Methodist Church, 1764 Wilroy Rd., Suffolk. Va. 23434.
