ELLA JANE BRADSHAW Suffolk, Va., Aug. 16 - The funeral services of Mrs. Ella Jane Bradshaw, wife of C.C. Bradshaw, of Nansemond County, living near Chuckatuck, who died Monday in the 25th year of her age, were held this afternoon at Oakland Christian church, conducted by Rev. Dr. I.W. Johnson. The hour of the service was 3 o'clock, and a large number of friends of this well-liked young matron gathered to do her the last honor. Mrs. Bradshaw is survived by her husband and a little son, Fenton Leigh [sic; Lee] Bradshaw, aged 14 months; three sisters, Misses Ella Griffen [sic; Griffin], Blanche Griffen, and Mrs. Lizzie Turner, all of Southampton County. The pall-bearers were Richard Copeland, Wesley Copeland, Wilbur Darden, Fenton Darden, Clifton Darden and Lee Bradshaw. Interment was made in the church cemetery. [no grave photo] D.Cert. 20555 (Chuckatuck #253) also gives Ellen Jane. Quaker records also give Ellen Jane, b. Oct 1891. Her husband 2m. her sister Ella Mae GRIFFIN (1895 - 1972) 27 Dec 1916. (Nansemond Co. #196) They are also buried in Newman Memorial Cemetery, as are her in-laws and her son Fenton (1915 - 1956).
