Bradshaw Suffolk, Dec. 3- Nathaniel T. Bradshaw, 84, a prominent resident of Nansemond County, died this morning at 10 o’clock at his home near Nurneyville, after a long illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Bradshaw, and eight children, Mrs. W.J. Vaughan and Mrs. Charlie Gardner, of Portsmouth; Mrs. G.W. Wade, of Franklin; Lafayette F. Bradshaw, John P. Bradshaw and Herman N. Bradshaw, all of Nurneyville; F. B. Bradshaw of Suffolk; W.L. Bradshaw of Franklin; and two sisters, Mrs. T.H. Carr, of Walters and Mrs. Mary A. Turner, of Crewe; a half brother J.M. Bradshaw of Windsor; several grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’ clock at the residence at Nurneyville by Dr. I. W. Johnson, the Rev. R.E. Brittle and Dr. W.W. Staley. Burial will be at Liberty Spring Church Cemetery. ******************************************************************************** NATHANIEL THOMAS HERMAN BRADSHAW N.T. Bradshaw died at his home at Nurneyville, Nansemond County, Wednesday, December 3, in the 84th year of his life. He had been in bad health for the past two years, but was confined to his bed for only a few days before his death. Nathaniel T. Bradshaw was born in Southampton County February 13, 1847. He was married to Miss Mary Ellen Joyner of Isle of Wight in 1872. They lived in Southampton until 1897, when they moved to Nansemond where he spent the remaining years of his life. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Bradshaw, and eight children, Mrs. W.J. Vaughan and Mrs. C.C. Gardner of Portsmouth, Mrs. G.W. Wade of Franklin, L.F., J.P., F.B. and N.H. Bradshaw of Nansemond and W.L. Bradshaw of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. T.H. Carr of Walters and Mrs. Mary A. Turner of Crewe, one half-brother, J.M. Bradshaw of Windsor, several nieces and nephews and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at his home, conducted by Dr. I.W. Johnson of Suffolk and Rev. R.D. Stephenson of Franklin. Members of Liberty Spring choir sang "Asleep in Jesus," "God Will Take Care of You" and "Abide With Me," There were many beautiful floral designs and a large crowd present showing the high esteem in which Mr. Bradshaw was held.
