BRADSHAW, 76, SUCCUMBS TODAY Rites at Grave Wednesday, Rev. Franklin To Officiate Robert Edward Bradshaw, age 76, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.B. Bradshaw [sic; Harrell], Sr., on Catherine Street, early today after a short illness. He was the son of the late Joshua and Emmaline Howell Bradshaw, of Isle of Wight County. He is survived by four daughters. Mrs. W.B. Harrell, Sr., of Suffolk, Mrs. W.E. Bagnell, of Crittenden, Mrs. J.N. Martin, of Chuckatuck, Mrs. I.C. Riggin of Richmond, two sons, P.C.. Bradshaw, of Crewe, and W.T. Bradshaw, of Washington. D.C., eleven grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The body was taken to the funeral home of I.O. Hill and Company, where it will remain until 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, at which time the funeral procession will leave for Windsor, Va., where funeral services will be conducted at the grave in the Windsor cemetery, conducted by the Rev. A.L. Franklin, pastor of the Main Street Methodist Church of Suffolk. ****************************************************************************** BRADSHAW RITES HELD WEDNESDAY Conducted at Grave in Windsor by Rev. Franklin and Rev. Clark Funeral services for Robert Bradshaw were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the grave in Windsor cemetery by the Rev. A.L. Franklin, D.D., pastor of the Main Street Methodist Church, Suffolk, and the Rev. O.M. Clark. During the services Dr. Franklin read Tennyson's "Crossing The Bar." A pall of calla lilies, white carnations and lilies of the valley covered the casket. There were many other handsome floral tributes. Active pallbearers: Albert Sydney Johnson, Zollie Johnson, Jasper Oliver, Junie Bradshaw. Ralph Eley, Carlton Butler, Sr., Emmett King, and Marshall Bowden. Friends of the family were honorary pallbearers. Pattie was accidentally shot & killed by her son Alton ELEY in Oct 1918. She is buried in with her second husband in Western Branch Baptist Church.
